How is a home loan EMI calculated?
EMI uses the reducing-balance formula EMI = P×r×(1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n−1), where P is the loan principal, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of monthly instalments. The calculator above applies this instantly; total interest is EMI × n minus the principal.
Can NRIs get a home loan for property in Delhi NCR?
Yes. NRIs and OCIs are eligible for home loans from Indian banks and housing-finance companies, repaid through NRE/NRO accounts. Tenure, loan-to-value and documentation differ from resident loans — NRI tenures are often shorter and rates can vary — so confirm the specific offer with your lender.
